"My personal view of human nature is that all people are basically good, capable of change, and inner directed toward self-actualization. Also, I think that childhood influences an individual’s personality. From my perspective, people react according to patterns of reactions and responses that they have learned in early childhood. Thoughts about ourselves, others, and the world shape our personality. Usually, people have flexible personalities that can undergo change with personal experiences and with the influence of the people they meet. Inflexible patterns of reactions, behaviors, and thoughts may signal psychological distortion."
